Those lobbying to get pets out of airplane passenger cabins gained another ally Tuesday. Delegates in Saskatoon at the Canadian Medical Association’s annual meeting have resolved to back the Canadian Lung Association’s call for government to take a closer look at the health implications of policies that allow Fido and Fluffy to travel carry-on on Canadian flights.

It wasn’t exactly a wolf and a lamb, but up until very recently, the Rev. Dan Eddy and his wife Berta had two pets who were good friends: a 20-pound dog named Clifford and a 15-pound cat named Whack.

Officers rescue pets from hot cars (KING5 Seattle)

The Seattle Animal Shelter reports that over the weekend, five pets - including one that was already dead - were rescued from hot cars, and with more hot weather on the way, they are once again pleading with pet owners to protect their pets from heat.
