When fire broke out at the Westgate apartment complex on West Main Street in Stroudsburg on Thursday night, more than 100 residents were evacuated from the building, but many of their dogs, cats and other pets were left behind.

A north Texas couple has taken another step in the fight to keep the 17 beloved pets they’ve had for more than a decade. When we first told you about the Gideons, the city of Dallas had ordered them to give up their dogs and cats by Valentine’s Day. Now, the couple is once again taking action to try and keep their animals.
