Tarboro lets volunteers help find homes for pets
The Tarboro Animal Shelter soon will receive extra hands finding unwanted pets new homes. Tarboro officials recently reached an agreement with an animal advocacy group, Friends of the Tarboro Animal Shelter, to help promote the adoption of feral cats and dogs.

For four hours this Saturday, the public is asked to bring recyclable paper to the Kenton County Animal Shelter as part of a fundraising challenge benefiting the shelter.

Table Mountain Shelter Needs People To Adopt Pets
Area animal shelters are overflowing with pets looking for a new home. One of the largest shelters, Table Mountain Animal Center, is moving to a new location next week and the shelter is hoping to find homes for most of the animals before the move.
