More than 40 parks on Oahu welcome pets (Honolulu Star-Bulletin)
Question: The Humane Society’s PetWalk is this Sunday, but I thought pets are not allowed in parks. Answer: Pets are not allowed in some parks, but the county makes an annual exception for the Hawaiian Humane Society at Magic Island, where pets are otherwise prohibited.

Pets, owners take home Humane Society honor (The Carthage Press)
A few local pets will be making their big debut this October in the Carthage Humane Society Calendar. Photos for the calendar were selected from entries in the Cutest Pet Photo Contest. So Big, owned by Lila Towle of Carthage, won cutest dog, and Tabby, owned by the Gaines family of Baxter Springs, won cutest cat.
