A fire on Long Island killed over a dozen pets Sunday. The fire broke out in the Old Country Animal Clinic at 669 Old Country Road.

Kaiserslautern shelter won’t house U.S. pets (Stars and Stripes)
Scooter, a dachshund, stands under the protection of Sarge, a German shepherd mix at the animal shelter in Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof. The two were taken to the shelter by an American servicemember who left the country. The shelter is no longer accepting unwanted American pets.
