At the North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando, Fla.,the past week, I attended a session about pet care after an owner’sdeath or disability. The session was taught by Amy Shever, whovolunteers her time as the director of 2nd Chance for Pets, anorganization in California devoted to helping to prevent theunnecessary relinquishment of pets to animal shelters.
